The Recipe

pastry for 9-inch quiche dish or pie pan 1/2 C. milk

1/2 C. mayonnaise

2 eggs -- slightly beaten

1 Tbsp. cornstarch

1 1/2 C. diced cooked ham

1 1/2 C. cubed Swiss cheese

1/3 C. chopped green pepper

1/3 C. sliced green onion

1 Dash pepper

Line a 9-inch quiche dish or pie pan with pastry; trim off excess pastry around edges. Place a piece of buttered aluminum foil; buttered side down over pastry, gently press into pastry shell. Cover foil with a layer of dried peas or beans. Bake at 400 degrees for 10 minutes; remove peas and foil. Prick shell and bake 3 to 5 minutes or until lightly browned. Cool. Combine milk, mayonnaise, eggs and cornstarch; mix until smooth. Stir in remaining ingredients. Pour mixture into quiche shell. Bake at 350 degrees for 40 to 45 minutes or until set. Yields one 9-inch quiche.
