The Recipe

1 Cup Butter, or margarine

1 Cup Peanut Butter, crunchy

1 Cup Sugar

1 Cup Brown Sugar -- Packed

2 Large Eggs

2 Cups Flour,All-Purpose

1 Teaspoon Baking Soda

6 Ounces Chocolate Chips,semi-sweet

This recipe was a first place winner for youth category at the Del Mar county fair,1993. The two girls won ribbons in several events. Cream butter and peanut butter together; gradually add both sugars and cream until well blended. Sift together flour and soda; add to creamed mixture. Stir in chocolate chips. Drop from a teaspoon onto a greased baking sheet. Slightly flatten cookie dough with back of spoon. Bake in preheated 325 degree oven for 15 minutes. Jo Anne Merrill
