The Recipe

1/4 lb Butter

6 tb Sugar

6 tb Brown sugar

1 Egg; beaten

1 dr Water

1/4 ts Salt

1/2 ts Baking soda

1 1/8 c Flour, all-purpose

1/2 c Walnuts; chopped

1 c Chocolate chips; semisweet

1 ts Vanilla

Recipe by: Beverly Salinger, YMCG78A Preheat oven to 350~. Blend butter, sugar and eggs until creamy. Add flour, baking soda and salt. Add a few drops of HOT water and blend well. Add nuts (optional) and vanilla. Drop by teaspoonsful onto greased pans. Bake 10-12 minutes. These are a crunchy and crumbly cookie. RECIPE COURTESY: My mom, Rose Salinger. -----
